“The recording world has changed radically over the past 20-years, and I’ve lived through all of those changes.  I was there when the earth-shattering Korg M1 and Roland D50 hit the scene, when Kurzweil defined what the sampler was with the K250, when Roland changed the home studio world forever with their VS890, when Mackie brought high quality studio consoles down to an affordable price-point with their 8-bus mixers....and did it again for studio monitors with their HR824’s.  I was also there when Alesis single-handedly changed the recording world with their revolutionary ADAT recorder, not to mention practically invented the sequencer and drum machine with their original MMT8 and HR16, respectively.  When computer-based recording first came on the scene, I was there---using practically every piece of hardware and software that existed.  And here we are over 20-years later from when I first dove into the audio world and I’m actually taking part in helping design products, testing them, providing direct feedback to the manufacturers on how best to improve their products. This is what I can provide to my clients that is truly priceless...YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD.”

SO WHAT TO EXPECT?

I take pride in my career and the work that I do---I’m not in this field to just make sales, but to build professional business partnerships that last a lifetime based on building trust through providing extensive product knowledge from real world experience with the most personalized service and support there is---and doing this with honesty and integrity each and every single time.  I take what I do seriously, my name is on the line with every bit of information and advice I give out.  Through one on one consultations I take notes about your needs, gear you already own, the instrument(s) you play, the kind of music you like, and document anything else that is important to helping me help you as we build your studio or live system over the years.  Basically, I get to know your musical needs better than you could ever see them yourself by looking from what I call the “ten thousand foot view”.  I look at where you are and where you want to go, and help to find the appropriate ways to get there with unbiased advice.  I am not going to tell you what you want to hear just because it will make you purchase something through me, but rather give you honest feedback about what your best options are---even if that means purchasing nothing at all.  My mission is to provide solutions for a need or problem---not add to or create ones that didn’t exist previously.  In other words if there is a solution without making a purchase, I’m certainly not going to tell you to make a purchase just to sell you something.  My advice comes from actually using the product(s), I’m a real world professional doing real world work--not someone that just sits in a cubicle on the phone, reading charts and information of what the item is!

COMMISSION SALES--is that a GOOD thing---or a BAD thing?

There is a myth that because someone is on commission that they are simply looking at their own wallet and bottom-line to make a sale.  That is one of the differences between a true audio professional and a “sales clerk”.  My goal is to earn your long-term business by by establishing a professional working partnership that benefits all involved.  If I were to do or say anything just to get you buy a box so I could make a quick buck--would that make you want to come back to me again?  If I were to provide you with information that wasn’t true or didn’t really do what I said it would do, again would that make you want to come back to me again?  Because my income is entirely commission--it is EXTREMELY important that YOU and ALL of my clients return to me for all future needs.  Likewise I want you to feel comfortable enough to recommend all of your friends, colleagues, and family to me.  By nature this creates a unique form of “checks and balances” that makes certain I provide you with:

  1. BulletTHE MOST PERSONALIZED SERVICE and SUPPORT AVAILABLE ANYWHERE....

  2. BulletTOP-QUALITY, PROFESSIONAL ADVICE coming from YEARS of EXPERIENCE....

  3. BulletCOMPETITIVE and FAIR PRICING that comes with a PRICELESS VALUE....

  4. BulletCHRISTIAN VALUES and INTEGRITY with HONEST BUSINESS PRACTICES....

Simply put....if I do business with you the way I wish to be treated as a consumer myself, then everything will work itself out and you will purchase through me.  But if I put my wallet above your needs, you simply won’t come back...and no one wins in the end.

“This email is concerning Brad Lyons, one of your Senior Sales Associates.  I just wanted to let you know what a great asset you have in Brad.  Over the last couple of years, he has been extremely helpful in my studio purchases.  When I first talked with him, I was a little jaded from all of the other companies sales people that just seemed to want to take as much money from you as they can without giving any advice or knowledge about what it is that you are looking to purchase.  This is the exact opposite from Brad.  Right away I could tell he knew his product recommendations and not from just reading about them.  He knew from experience.  This is very important when buying new gear (mics especially) that you only hear about but haven't had the chance to test them for yourself.

It's very hard to stay informed of every product that comes out.  Every recommendation from Brad has been spot on and in retrospect, he has basically built my studio with his recommendations.  I am extremely happy with Brad's recommendations and his help.  When I make purchases, because of Brad, I go right to your website or your catalog and then I call him.  He's always willing to answer my questions and believe me, I ask a lot of questions.  You have to to make sure that the things you buy will be of use and not wind up on eBay a few months later because you should have saved your money and picked up something else.....”

“I’m glad I don't have to spend more money on more gear to accomplish what I need to do, that’s why I buy through you to get the honest advice.  You don’t tell me to purchase something that I don’t need to, that’s appreciated!”
