The VENUE PROFILE MIXRACK console is really the best value for power users that want the ability to record and playback up to 64-channels of Pro Tools HD and do not need the digital snake capability. The console control surface is the Profile controller itself as found with the VENUE PROFILE system, however unlike PROFILE the PROFILE MIXRACK has a combination computer and I/O in one box that sits at the FOH position. Like PROFILE there are still (48) XLR inputs with an additional (8) TRS Inputs, however there are a stock (16) XLR outputs with the ability to add another (16) outputs either as XLR or the A-NET AVIOM option. The relationship of PROFILE and PROFILE MIXRACK is quite a unique one in that these two consoles are both nearly identical, but quite different at the same time. Again the control surface is the exact same, but the housing of the I/O and computer into one chassis is clearly what sets the two consoles apart. Another major feature is that the PROFILE console can hold up to (5) DSP cards while the PROFILE MIXRACK can only hold a maximum of (3) DSP cards. But don’t be fooled, that is still a great deal of DSP power to run the latest TDM plugins such as REVIBE, WAVES SSL, APHEX BIG BOTTOM, and other amazing plugins. In fact for a standard 48x8 configuration it takes 1.5 DSP cards to run the entire console. So with (3) available on the PROFILE MIXRACK it’s still a powerhouse in any FOH or MONITOR situation.
