When Digidesign first announced they were entering the live sound market, I think it was safe to say that no one saw it coming---nor did anyone think it was a logical move.  After all, Digidesign comes from the recording world with their industry-standard Pro Tools software and hardware, what did they know about live sound?  And furthermore, it’s just a Pro Tools system converted into a live console--right?  WRONG!!  I will be the first to admit that when I sat down with one of the first production run Venue D-Show consoles

available in May of 2005--I was immediately impressed.  I was so blown away by this console that I convinced those at my church to install one.  A few months later, Blackhawk Ministries (Fort Wayne, Indiana) became one of the first houses of worship to purchase a Venue console.  A year after that, I integrated a ProToolsHD system into our studio production for multi-track recording each worship service as well as mixing to live and post broadcast on our local ABC affiliate.  Being a highly technical house of worship, we immediately grasped what Venue would do for our worship services.  When combined with ProToolsHD, it has revolutionized how I mix our television broadcasts.  I replaced (2) large consoles and a long list of outboard gear, recorders, and other products that we no longer need while at the same time adding a level of sophistication and sound quality that is unrivaled.

Today, Venue is no longer just a console---but it is the product family of mixing boards.  There are currently (4) models available, all which have the same sound quality and sophistication with virtually the same operation and layout.  You simply can not say that about other digital consoles on the market.  While as advanced as the Venue product line is, it is also one of the easiest digital environments to setup, configure, and operate.  Being that a primary market is the modern house of worship, this is ever more important. I have configured more Venue and ProTools systems than anyone else out in the field and have been using this system since it was first released. If you are looking to invest in your own Venue series mixing console, I would be happy to speak with you toll-free at (800)222-4700 x 1362  -or-  email me with your contact information and I’d be happy to contact you in return.  This is a serious product meant for those who are serious about their audio, you should only speak with a real world professional who knows the product inside and out.  But before we speak, please check out the links to your right to learn more about the product line.
